How to add an eSIM.
Generally, when you add a second cell number it will usually be added in an eSIM format. Where adding a physical SIM is a physical process, removing the SIM tray and inserting a SIM card, adding an eSIM is done through iOS.
The most common way to do this is to add a eSIM through a QR code provided by your mobile carrier. On your iPhone:
Open the settings App
Select Mobile Settings or Data Settings depending on your region

Select Add eSIM

Select Use QR Code

Select Continue to Activate the eSIM, after a few moments the eSIM will be activated and you will now have Dual SIM on your iPhone.
You can set labels for each connection and set preferences in the following options

You are now set up for Dual SIM.
